Parents & Child

We know how difficult the transition from home to nursery can be for both child and parents.

Link after school care PortmarnockAt Links we try to make this time as natural as possible.

Social We provide:

  • "Settling-in" sessions aimed at gradually introducing the child and parent into the crèche.
  • Daily feedback on the days’ activities together with regular developmental reports on your child’s personal milestones.
  • An Open-Door Policy: which means that our families are welcome to visit the nursery at any time.
  • Programs on display for each room.

Social Personal and Social:

Activities and opportunities are provided which allow children to share experiences, to relate to others and to develop self-reliance and self-esteem.
We actively encourage children to recognise and to deal with their feelings and we promote a positive self-image.



language Language and Literacy:

Focusing on identifying and developing the language and communication abilities of children, we extend and reinforce all skills related to communications.
A platform for early reading and writing skills is fostered throughout the curriculum, with the use of the written word all over the nursery.

The Irish language is introduced to the children from the age of 2yrs.

Spanish is on our Montessori Curriculum.

Speech & Drama is also optional.



Maths Mathematics:

More than just numbers, mathematics enhances the development of concentration, attention, memory skills, scientific skills and the understanding of basic concepts such as time.
Naturally included in the children’s daily routine and in focused activities, we lay the foundations and we start building these skills with children.





Notified to the Pre-School Service of the Health Services Executive.
